How to Prepare for IIT - JEE Main Entrance Examination 2015

IIT - JEE is the acronym for The Indian Institute of Technology, Joint Entrance Examination. It is the standardized admission test to engineering programs in India. IIT- JEE is held for all Indian and foreign nationals who seek admission to UG programs in IITs. JEE is offered at two levels: JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

JEE is 3-hour test comprising of 90 multiple-choice questions across three disciplines of mathematics, physics, and chemistry with 30 questions for each section. Each correctly answered question gets four points, while each negative answer gets one-quarter point deducted. Unanswered question is neither given nor deducted points.
Earning a good score on JEE requires thorough preparation.

·         Instead of preparing one subject for some days, cover little portions from all the subjects each day. This helps you in retaining more and avoids monotony.
·         Use the JEE mock papers to evaluate yourself.  Mock tests are available on JEE site for free. These tests are exact replica of the actual JEE and help you find your strengths and weaknesses.
·         Find your weakest subject and devote extra time on it. Doing so ensures big improvement from your studying aspect.

·        Be strong with the fundamentals until you are sure of your basics and know how they apply to JEE problems.
·     Work on JEE question papers from previous exams. These papers contain the exact questions of the previous exams, helping you do better with your preparation.
·      Referring the right JEE entrance exam books is very important for the exam preparation. For example, the JEE Main Mathematics, Physics Exam Book by Sura Books is a very useful book for both CBSE and State Board students.
·    For JEE advanced, use JEE main exam preparation books with comprehensive JEE main syllabus.
·         Prepare handy notes for each subject. They help you clear important concepts and memorize quicker.

·   Addition to a JEE main exam book, use thirty-party study resources such as sample questions, practice tests, solved papers, and test prep books. Seek help, whenever needed.
·         Once you have completed your portions, revise the various topics in the three subjects again and again.
·         Time management is a very important factor for JEE. So, while solving models papers, keep a check on time. If solving a question takes too much time,  move to the next.
·         Avoid major distractions such as television, social networking, video games, temporarily.

Believe in yourself and your efforts and take the test with confidence.

JEE Main & Advanced Entrance Exam Preparation Reference Books Online

No wonder if you aren’t aware of JEE Main examination. Here is a brief for you to get your head around it. JEE what does this three letter abbreviation stand for? That’s Joint Entrance Examination. JEE is a common entrance examination conducted in all-India level. To put it in simple words, this is a gateway for admission in engineering courses with top universities.

JEE Main & Advanced Examination 2015:

You might have heard terms like AIEEE or IIT-JEE from your classmates, but that is slowly signing out from being in use, as JEE has taken the throne. JEE exam is conducted in two parts:

·         JEE Main
·         JEE Advanced

Be brainy enough to crack JEE Advanced and you are guaranteed of acquiring a seat in

·         Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)
·         Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)
·         Indian School of Mines (ISM)

JEE Main exam pushes you into dual degree programs in the following:

·         Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIT)
·         National Institutes of Technology
·         Central Funded Technical Institute (CFTI)
·         Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST)

JEE Main is the qualifying exam for you to attend JEE Advanced. I believe this should be crystal clear for you to understand the difference. It was in 2013 that the IIT council approved ot conduct JEE exam in two phases – Main and Advanced.

JEE Main exam consists of 2 papers – 1 and 2. It is up to you to pick either of these or both. As most such exams are structured, JEE has multiple choice questions in it. While the Paper-1 is for admission in B.E or B.Tech online and offline courses, Paper-2 is for you to penetrate into M.Arch and B.Planning which in turn is only for offline courses.
Below is a representation of total number of male and female candidates appearing for JEE Main Exam.
