JEE Main
is the qualifying exam for you to attend JEE Advanced. I believe this should be
crystal clear for you to understand the difference. It was in 2013 that the IIT
council approved ot conduct JEE exam in two phases – Main and Advanced.
JEE
Main exam consists of 2 papers – 1 and 2. It is up to you to pick either of
these or both. As most such exams are structured, JEE has multiple choice
questions in it. While the Paper-1 is for admission in B.E or B.Tech online and
offline courses, Paper-2 is for you to penetrate into M.Arch and B.Planning
which in turn is only for offline courses.

| JEE Main Exam Preparation Book |
In
my opinion, all you need is a proper guide to prepare yourself for the exam. I
personally prefer using Bridge Course Guide to JEE Main 2015 from Sura Books. They
have a range of six excellent books for JEE aspirants for Physics, Chemistry
and JEE Main Mathematics Exam Books (split in two volumes such as volume I & volume II).
